Livestrong Day is celebrated every October 2.  October 2 is the day when Lance Armstrong, founder of Livestrong, was diagnosed with testicular cancer.  His cancer had spread to other parts of his body, including his lungs and his brain.   But he fought back, he lived strong, and he got well miraculously, dare I say.  He then founded Livestrong, to encourage other cancer patients and survivors to live strong.  Livestrong “fights to improve the lives of people affected by cancer” through programs related to research, cancer care, and prevention and early detection.

On Livestrong day, supporters will come together to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer.  There are events in many countries, including the Philippines.  There will be a bike ride that starts in Frontera Drive in Pasig.  Here are the complete details:

  • Oct 2, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Location: Manila, Philippines
  • Frontera Drive, Pasig City
